Chat & conversations

Community chat is visible to signed-in users. Private admin chat is visible only to the account owner and site administrators. Chat stores your username, message text and timestamps for up to 30 days, capped at 1,000 messages per room. Deleting your account deletes your messages and private conversation; backups may retain them until they expire.

Chat read markers are stored on your account to show unread messages across devices. Administrators can hide or restore messages and pause Community posting for seven days; private contact with admins remains available. Hidden messages remain accessible to administrators within the normal chat retention period.

Alerts & preferences

Optional quiet hours store a start time, end time and time zone on your account. Automatic alerts are skipped during those hours without a later backlog. Aircraft alert notifications include the aircraft identifier and reported position so tapping one can open its map location.

Saved aircraft and automatic police-alert preferences are stored on your account. Alerts for individual saved aircraft apply only inside your saved alert zone. Deleting your account removes these settings.

Account security

Administrators can issue single-use password reset links after verifying the account owner. Only a hash of each reset token is stored, and links expire after 30 minutes. The administrator does not choose or receive your new password.

Notification history stores alert and test message text, timestamps and push-service results for up to 30 days, limited to the latest 200 entries per account. Your dashboard shows the latest 50 entries. Deleting your account also deletes this history.

Account data & location

Rapid Tracker stores your username, a password hash, your last sign-in IP address, account creation time, saved alert-zone coordinates and radius. If you enable phone notifications, it stores a push subscription for that browser or device.

Your saved coordinates are used to find aircraft and send alert-zone notifications. Location updates are saved only while you use the location controls. This is not background phone location tracking.

Access & service providers

The site administrator can access account data, saved coordinates and notification subscriptions. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap; aircraft data comes from ADSB.fi. Push messages travel through your browser or phone provider, such as Google, Apple or Mozilla.

Your controls & data retention

You can change your alert zone on the dashboard, turn off notifications separately on each device, or delete your account from Account settings. Scheduled database backups are kept for up to 30 days; deleted data may remain in them until they expire. Manual recovery snapshots may be kept longer by the administrator.
